OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A unique fundraising event took place over the weekend in Oshkosh with a goal of raising funds to help local children and families be able to meet basic needs.
On Sunday, the Oshkosh Kids Foundation held its annual “Cow Pie Bingo” event with organizers stating that all proceeds go directly towards supporting housing, food, clothing, and hygiene needs for kids and families throughout the Oshkosh area.
We have Ruby, and if Ruby goes number two in your square, you win $7,500. All the money purchased from the Cow Pie Bingo squares, half of it goes to Oshkosh Kids and the other half goes to the winner. What we hope that people take away from this event is more of an understanding of our mission and support for children in the Oshkosh area. There’s a lot of things that people can do to support the Oshkosh Kids Foundation. So part of that is getting out in the community, seeing what we’re all about, and getting to take part in this wonderful event.Amber Hammond, Oshkosh Foundation Executive Director
The family-friendly event also featured Chicken Pie Bingo, a meat raffle, live music, and carnival-style games.
